deer spotted

May 30, 2012

Deer spotted in Steve's backyard yesterday, Fifa was going nuts. She kept coming towards us and walking around, we thought she might be crazy (the deer not Fifa). When we got back into the house we watched from the windows and then we realized that she was hiding her baby! We could see from a distance that she was feeding, it was so cute the fawns tail was wagging like crazy. So cute. Fifa was very intrigued.

running behind!

May 29, 2012

I haven't been updating much BUT I got the printer last week and updated my Project Life, FINALLY! I will be posting the last 3 weeks of it and then some. Until then, I can always recap how awesome my life is (awesome to me at least haha).

Steve loves bike rides, he likes being outdoors and exercising rather than sitting inside and watching TV, I won't lie and say that I am the same way. Because I am not. I love to be lazy and watch TV, I hate to work out and I hate being sweaty. I was giving in and we went for bike ride along the Delaware River, thank goodness it is flat and there aren't any hills for me to struggle up. We went for 10 miles and it was very refreshing. Fifa even enjoyed herself with a 3.8 mile run, she is such a quick dog. She ran faster if I was in front, she was keeping her "eye on the prize" as Steve said. When we got back to the car, she was passed out. We made it in time to go out to dinner with his parents too, never get tired of 55 Main. I don't think I have ever liked pasta so much.

We took a trip to Hoboken to visit Steve's brother, Brian and Rachel. Fifa got to take a ride in the BMW with the top down, she seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself, but we had to leave her at home. We went to a Biergarten and it was AWESOME! The place was really big and it felt like you were taken to another country with the decor and the atmosphere. We ate tons of junk food and they drank tons of beer, a great combo if I do say so myself. Big pretzels, french fries, corn on the cob and to end the evening, ice cream. We had so much fun hanging out with them, it was the first time we have ever gone on a "double date" and it was great.

Last but not least, Memorial Day. Thank you to all those who have served and are still serving the US Military. To all my friends, we thank you.
We enjoyed a day of BBQ'ing and drinking, we definitely had more beer than we really needed but oh well. Fifa enjoyed another top down car ride in my lap, which was painful for me because she kept wanting to stand and her nails would just dig into my legs :( I made cupcakes for the occasion, red/white/blue! It was a good time with friends and Steve, a little too humid for my liking but next time I will be at the beach!

Time for a snack :)
I will update more about Project Life later tonight.

may showers?

May 21, 2012

Since when does it rain this much in May?
I think the months have shifted one over and I hope that next month is no rain and all sunshines. The one thing I can be thankful for though, is that the weekends have been BEAUTIFUL.

I am so behind on scrap booking because we don't have a printer *sad face* but after some time researching I bought one yesterday that will be delivered tomorrow! Lets hope that it works well and I don't have to return it, especially since I ordered it from Amazon and it's always a hassle doing that. Then I will be back on track! I think I have been less interested in this book because I am so behind, but when I look back on the pages I fall in love with it. We are almost at half a year, how crazy is that?! I will need to order a second book because mine is way too full. I organized it a little bit last night and added post-its to what each section was.

This passed weekend was really nice.
The weather was perfect, minus the falling pollen that made my eyes hurt.
Fifa got to run around on a bike ride, she loves those and Steve and I had an up and down weekend, with more ups than downs. Talking about the future and not knowing what to do always makes things harder, but we will get through this one way or another. Our future is bright and I am happy to spend it with him.

^^ this was after the run for her and walk for me. I like to snuggle with her :)

Another happy note?
I was accepted into the graduate program of the School of Management and Labor Relations at RU! YAY! So exciting! Finally, I have been waiting forever for this. But now it means 2 more years of school and I can not decide whether this is for me or if I want to move away? All these "what ifs." Now time to contemplate on the future..

Like what's for dinner.
What classes to take.
I hope there's no traffic when I leave.
And I hope Fifa isn't doing anything bad in my room.

in a nutshell

May 17, 2012

My week so far. We just got passed hump day and continue onto a lovely sunny Thursday. The weather is finally beginning to get sunny and warmer weather. I like being able to eat outside at lunch, even if there aren't many tables to eat at.

A short look at the week so far:

I love dinner dates with friends I haven't seen in a while. Thai food and good conversation :) We were meant to be friends.

Walks in the park on sunny 80 degree days. Chasing geese into the lake and lapping up water. Her favorite way to drink water is probably from a fountain/hose, this is as close as we could get to that.

My impulsive shopping led me to Nordstrom for some summer TOMS shoes. I took the picture to contemplate it over, but when Steve needed to go back to the mall yesterday for his phone, I knew it was fate. Hello summer wedges, I will love you always. Next step is the classics. I can't wait for summer.

***

Serious conversations on what to do about life, I'm not sure anyone really knows what to do. Or at least most of us. Do I really want to be in school far away from my best friend? Not really. Do I want to be on the west coast? Hellz yes. In due time I will be there. You know when people say that they just know they should be somewhere? Well, that's the feeling I get when I think of sunny California. It just feels right for me. But until then, I will work and attend school and see where life will take me.

On another note, I think I broke our printer and will not be able to print pictures for Project Life until.. who knows when? I am looking into buying a printer of my own so I stop abusing poor Priscilla's. I will keep tabs on what layouts will look like, but until then, my life will have to do.

PS. I think I am going to search through photos and try to kickstart my 366 again. I have taken pictures everyday, maybe not with my good camera but it could still work.

I can strike out 3! Wow already! Only 6 days after my birthday and I can do that. It would have been 4 if there were parking near Dylan's. I guess that's what we get for going into the city on one of the nicest days of May.

It was a fantastic birthday/anniversary present. I love my best friend, he is amazing. We seriously are perfect for each other! Pictures to be posted soon and maybe, if I finally ever get around to it, week 18 of Project Life. Then eventually, 19!

25.

May 10, 2012

My 25th birthday was by far the BEST birthday I have ever had. I would change nothing about it and I loved every minute of it.

I love my coworkers.
I love my friends.
I love my boyfriend.
I love cupcakes.
I love my parents.
I loved turning 25.

Steve knows how much I love to scrapbook and he even took the time to add a page in my Project Life album for my birthday, showing what we were going to do for our anniversary. Our birthdays and anniversary are very close, within a 10 day span. As I unwrapped the page he made, I flipped it over and found this:

!!!!!

My heart did backflips it was so happy. I could not stop smiling and freaking out. I cried. I was so overcome with joy that it was just the most amazing thing ever. I have wanted to see RENT on Broadway since I saw the movie in high school. I immediately thought of Haley and was like "oh I have to tell her!" She was so excited and jealous because we both LOVE LOVE LOVE RENT. And the best part of all of this? It's on our anniversary :) He remembered me telling him months ago that he would one day have to see it with me and he went searching for tickets.

I have the BEST. BOYFRIEND. EVER.

He will already be helping me cross one thing off my 25 list and possibly a few more when we are in NYC.

I can not wait until Saturday ♥

A List of Twenty-Five: Things I WILL DO in Year 25

May 8, 2012

I decided to follow in the footsteps of KP and made a list of 25 things I will do in the year I am 25. It's like my New Years Resolutions, which I have not forgotten about (some failed) and I will try to keep the rest going. I am such an organized person that if I write things down, it makes it easier for me to actually accomplish. I see it on paper and get it done. Twenty-five is one of those monumental years, like 18, 21, etc. so why not try to make it a memorable one? Here's to getting older and still looking seventeen, and never acting my age.

Happy 25th birthday to me :)

1. Go to Dylan's Candy Bar
2. Spend some time volunteering
3. Take a walk through Central Park
4. Visit Thailand

And the journey begins!

Happy 28th Birthday to my amazing boyfriend, Steve!

Sushi dinner yesterday.
Thai dinner with his parents today.
Atlantic City on Saturday aka Cinco de Mayo!
Great birthday weekend ahead.

I let him open his gift yesterday when we were together and he loved it :) He was so surprised that I got it for him since I got his car detailed for him for his birthday. He kept talking about it and I really wanted to get him something extra that would be a surprise. It is in addition to the gift I bought him last year for his birthday. It is an LCD screen attachment to his GoPro Hero, now he can see where he is filming instead of guessing and finding out later that it was completely wrong. He kept trying to guess it before he opened it, he thought it was chocolates, but NOPE!

I was even eco-friendly and wrapped it in a brown paper bag we had with some washi tape and bakers twine. I used my Silhouette to cut out the tag with scrap paper that I had. He liked that too. I added the washi tape after I took this picture. I will have to post the pictures of when he actually opened and how happy he was after I get home later.

Now, the countdown to mine begins. 5 days!

project life | week 17.

May 1, 2012

This weeks pages!
Instead of a huge week insert I used a 3x4 spot and made it very simple. The paper is from the Amy Tangerine paper pack.

Recipes. Cupcakes. Class = A!

More cupcakes. Movies. Magazines. Creative chalkboard creations. National pretzel day. Fifa and her dad.

I love this. He is so good with her and I love it. We were going to bed one night and we were looking for her and we found her in my laundry basket laying on the other comforter.

Double date night. Monster mini golf and ice cream, it's amazing.

I am going to need a new book for my pages! It's already getting too big. I want to at least get to week 26 and then have a new book, half way through the year! How do people fit it in one book!? I guess no inserts or extras?

one week.

One week until my 25th birthday! How exciting! :)
Another milestone birthday, then after that it's 30. Woah. That is still a long ways away and since I am still mistaken for a teenager, I don't think it will make much of a difference by the time I'm 30 and when I was 25.

It is only Tuesday and I can't wait for this weekend. Cinco De Mayo in AC for our birthdays, aka me and Steve. So exciting. We went last year for our birthday's and it was a good time. I wanted to look for a dress so I could get fancy, but my luck I am super small and it is really hard for me to find something that will fit. I know, everyone rolls their eyes at me when I say this, but it really is hard to find clothes that fit when you are the size of a small teenager. I did buy myself some new shoes though :)

I love me some Jessica Simpson shoes. I have been looking for plain black matte shoes for a really long time and it wasn't until I saw Priscilla wearing these that I knew it was love at first sight. I have this dilemma though, my feet are awkwardly two different sizes so I ordered both the 6.5 and 7 and will see which one fits better. I tried hers on last night and she has a 6.5, which are broken in so we will see if the 7 is more comfy on my random bigger foot. It isn't so bad when I wear sneakers but when you are wearing heels they slip off and it's not easy. Especially at 5inches.

There are a few more that I would love to buy of hers, they have another one that same shoe but 4in, that might be better for work related stuff like looking for a job or going on interviews. I will eventually buy those, one day haha. But since I spent money on shoes, I will only look for a cheap top.. aka Forever 21, but once again they don't have a lot of stuff in my size. Small is just too big.

I am also excited for Thursday because it's Steve's birthday and I bought him a little extra gift so I could actually give him something for his birthday. And I love to make him happy :) I am trying to make his card instead of buying one but it isn't working out as well as I want it to so we'll see. I have a few days left.

Later today I will take pictures of my Week 17. For some strange reason this week was really difficult for me to put together but I did most of it last night. Pictures today. Post later tonight.

Now is time for some lunch.
