happy birthday fifa

Eight years old today.
I have had her since she was three months old and have loved her since the day I saw her awkward little face in her pen. It was March of 2009 when, on a whim my college boyfriend and I decided to "look at the dogs" just for fun. Word of advice, it's never just for fun. We walked in and unfortunately, it was a a puppy mill but I don't regret getting her. Next time it will be a shelter or adoption.

We muddled over her name, the guys in his house suggested, and eventually, it came to me like a light bulb! FIFA. I said to them, you guys play FIFA 09 all of the time, we should name her FIFA! And the room was unanimous with a yes because it was super awesome.

She has been with me through all of my late night study sessions, boyfriends, work-and-study life, and so much more. My life would not be the same without her in it and the idea as unconditional love is totally with her. This girl is my favorite ever.

weekend recap: fifa

Finally, the weather is picking up. It is getting into the high 60's and 70's and spending time outside is a must. Warm weather means Fifa being outside for almost the entire day. She loves it and so do I. The fenced in yard is probably the best thing ever for her and I can leave her outside for hours without worrying about her. Unconditional love is what I have for this dog, my fur baby.

She made sure to wake me up Saturday morning to go outside and play. After an entire day outside she is exhausted, I love this part too. Today was no different, I even sat outside on the porch to do homework while I watched her run around. It is going to be in the mid-70's this week. Yes. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well :)

a wonderful valentine

Isn't she the cutest Valentine ever? I sure think so.



As I walked over to my desk this was there the first thing in the morning. It made my day. It made me tear up, knowing how much love and support I have at work and in my personal life. It was a great card and I thank her for making my day that much better.

The night before, I decided to make these little Valentine's Day candy bags for everyone at work and then a few more for other people in the building that I am close with. Everyone loved them, they each had a different message on them. "You are loved," "have a great day," "you are awesome." Stuff like that. I had left one for someone who wasn't there all day and she texted me later in the night saying the love you put out into the world is going to come back tenfold, that made me smile. I bought this carnation for my friend John who had gotten me brownies and a mixed CD (which I love).

Priscilla is an angel and sent me a $5 giftcard to Starbucks on FB. I was excited. I gave up coffee for lent so I will be using this when I go back to it! And no I am not religious, I do it more for discipline reasons and I enjoy knowing that I can do that. And last but not least, I bought Fifa a nice toy for Valentine's Day that she proceeded to tear into pieced about an hour after I gave it to her. I'm not sure why I continue to buy her toys but it makes her happy so it makes me happy.



Overall, it was a great day spent with friends. OH, and I saw Safe Haven that night too with a friend of mine.. totally not worth it though. Womp womp. But it was a good day. And I will continue to enjoy these good days. All we can do is move forward.

christmas time

this week

It is finally finished and looking beautiful. The girl loves the cupcake stand and we will be meeting up within the next few weeks to get the little details together. I suggested Starbucks because who doesn't like sitting in a coffee shop going over details? She wants two special cupcakes, toppers, etc etc. So it will be easier if we just sit and talk about it together. I am so so excited for the end of September. It is going to take me a long time to bake and decorate these puppies, especially if Steve is in Boston for a Bachelor party.. I am going to be alone!

I am so happy to have my little dog back. I think she is just as happy to be back and not moving from house to house. I found it amusing that she is attacking her shark toy, during Shark Week. I do not partake in watching it but it still amuses me.

Project Life is catching up with me and I have spent a few days working on everything. I finished the title page of the second book, yes second, oh goodness! And I used the freebie download from Cathy Zielske's blog for the binder labels and I love them! I made them my favorite blue color and they look awesome. I love this project so much. I don't think next year will be the same, I am going to attempt a real 365 instead and do monthly updates on PL, but that is still far away.

Date night is tonight with Steve. Visiting my parents this weekend. Car show on Sunday and the new roommate Taylor moves in. It is going to be a busy weekend for me!

picture life.

The week so far has been pretty boring. One of the most uneventful so far this year. I have no idea what I am going to put into my project life for Week 24?!

I took a few pictures from my iPhone and decided they would be something fun to look at. Fifa, my child, is always ready to play. She looks cute with her new haircut and her new toy. It will probably only last a week and then be completely destroyed but since this one squeaks and is a ball all in one it is perfect!

I love love love my new Nook Glow Light! It is amazing. I love that it has ink paper AND is back lit for when I want to read in bed. Thank you Barnes&Noble for finally making this one. I am almost finished reading To Kill a Mockingbird, which means my 7 books for this year are done. It does not seem like a lot, because it isn't but Steve picked that number and that is what I went with. For my 25 things in the year 25 , I added another 10. I don't think that will be too hard either.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get a doctors appointment for my stomach. I have been having stomach/hunger pains for no reason, after I ate something then it feels a little bit better. It has been like this since Sunday so hopefully it is nothing too serious. Followed by a visit to South Jersey with my love.
