With upcoming birthdays and the upcoming year of 30 for most of 86-87ers, I thought I would pick out some fun ideas for gifts! As we have all grown up, many of my friends live all across the United States, mostly on the East Coast so still relatively "close," but far enough that we may only see each other once a year (if that!).

01 | Homesick Candles, they smell like home, what could be better than that? A friend of mine told me about these and it was such a cool idea. Moving away from the place I called home for 28 years of my life and to be able to get a candle from New Jersey!? Um, yes please.

02 | Address stamps, this is how I know I am getting old when you get an address stamp, but how cute are these? This would make my life so much easier when I am filling out and addressing my 25 Christmas cards, especially since the list of recipients is getting bigger.

03 | Wine. I live in an area of wine country and everyone seems to love it, I have learned to start enjoying it. Enjoying the sweet, sweet wines of Moscato. Apple juice for adults as I like to call it. Baby steps on the wine for me, although Rieslings also have a place in my heart.

04 | Bluetooth speakers. We have an old JBL one that we use, either brand is great, but this has been a life saver in entertainment with friends coming over, as well as renovating. Put on a Spotify playlist or Pandora and jam out while tearing down walls or painting. We also love it for listening to podcasts, I am slowly getting him into my favorite podcasts.

05 | Letterfolk letter boards. I have been eye one of these babies for a few months now. I haven't pulled the trigger to buy one, I almost did when they were 20% off during the holidays but held off. Maybe after our renovations are completed I can convince Liam we need one in the new kitchen ;) They are super cute and versatile in any room, their Instagram is also hilarious to look at.

Enjoy your weekends, I will be heading back to Jersey for a wedding and taking some time away from home renovating! Poor Liam. But I will do an update on our first week for those who have not seen the chaos we have created together. Those of you who have seen it in pictures and in person know we're a little insane for how much work we took on!

After finding Kelsey's blog [Kelsey, Especially], I have been non-stop reading random posts that I keep clicking on throughout the current post I am reading and loved her 5 Fandom Things post. So in honor of it being Friday and totally getting some inspiration from her, I will do one! Because May has been a month of cooking new recipes, I decided to do a food related topic.

01 //  If you've been reading for a little while now, you'll know I'm a vegetarian/vegan/pescetarian. More of a vegetarian, but on occasion I'll cheat with some shrimps and scallops. Why? Because I really like them and when I'm out, I have a craving for them. I eat how I want to and I don't stick to a completely strict diet of vegetarianism. I will not eat any chicken, pork, turkey, or beef. It's a decision I made nearly three years ago and have never looked back on it.
02 //  Avocados? Yuck. I can't do it. No matter how many times I have tried to eat one and tried to enjoy it, the texture just makes me cringe and I won't take another bite. A vegetarian who doesn't like avocados? I know, so sue me.
03 //  Trader Joe's is my go-to grocery store. I love that place, especially the one near my place because the employees are super friendly too.
04 //  I drink coffee almost everyday. It's my one true addiction.
05 //  Cooking wasn't a 'thing' for me until I became a vegetarian/vegan. Vegan baking is one of my favorite pastimes, watching other people enjoy them is more fun then eating them for me.

Now to start the long 3-day weekend (after I get off from work)!

Let's go with five random things I've found throughout this past week..
01 // Positive vibes are needed.
02 // Olya Schmidt's, her water color paintings on Instagram are amazing. The little details and fun, colorful drawings are so awesome. It makes me want to start painting with water colors and learn to draw.
03 // This website shows you all the fonts on your computer and what it would look like when you type specific words. I love this website because I forget the different fonts I download sometimes. This totally helps.
04 // Although I am completely behind, Project Life still sits in the back of my mind and how much I need to catch up. I found a new favorite blog to follow on her Project Life progression and I love the hashtag because it deals with those of us without children. #singlegirlsb by Tracy; inspirational!
05 // I recently signed up for Netflix (I know I'm behind) and the only reason I really wanted it was to watch Sherlock. My brother introduced me to the show in December and I loved it. There aren't many seasons or episodes for that matter, BUT they are an hour and a half long - mini movies!

Enjoy your weekend Internet friends!

My top blogs that I check almost religiously.

01 // Elise Blaha is my absolute favorite.  It is the first blog on my "favorites" list and the first one I check in the morning.  She is such an inspiration with crafts, DIY, and just about life in general.  She's basically the reason I want to start having more plants in my house.
02 // Ann-Marie is pretty amazing.  I love love love her thifting, crafts, photography, and so much more.  She is one of my blog idols.
03 // A Beautiful Mess is just full of awesomeness.  There are so many blog writers on there it is hard to keep up with the posts if I miss a few days.  Anything from house tours, DIY crafts, recipes, and more than I can even think.  The original writers are so fun to follow on Instagram, too.  I don't read every post because sometimes it doesn't always pertain to what I like but I can spend hours searching through the archives.
04 // Jay Adores blog I found through Ann-Marie's.  They are real life and blog friends, but following her wedding creation and now her new business is so fun.  I always get excited to read something new on her blog and the photographs are always beautiful.  Her wedding posts are by far my favorite - such an inspiration.  She does amazing work.
05 // Oh, Ladycakes is a vegan blog, which I adore.  She makes such amazing foods and they're usually very easy to make.  Not everyone can relate to this one but my at-home vegan lifestyle fits perfectly with it.  She is a genius in the kitchen.

What are some of your favorite bloggers? I always love finding new ones to read!
